INTERNATIONAL FORUM ON PUBLIC POLICIES FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF MEXICO
Mexico City, 7th and 8th February, 2007

The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), the World Bank, the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), the Centre for Research and Teaching in Social Science (CIDE), the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) joined efforts to organise the International Forum on Public Policies for the Development of Mexico that took place on the 7th and 8th of February 2007.

The event brought together experts in the field from various sectors as well as representatives from the organisations mentioned above to share the knowledge and identify the main social and economic challenges ahead that Mexico is to face.

The topics included were economic growth, competitiveness, poverty reduction, inequality, transparency, democratic governance, access to justice, strengthening institutions and human capital.
